Treasure Exchange Days This Weekend

The City is offering another treasure exchange days this weekend.

Spokesperson Jason Scherband explains it started four years ago, and saw hundreds of people put their unwanted goods out on the curb to be picked up for free, and it’s grown ever since.

“Certainly, we feel this program has added value out there, it’s promoting re-use in the community,” the city official notes.

Items you can leave out include gently used sports equipment, books, appliances, and furniture.

Scherband adds that items must be labelled “Free”, and anything not claimed has to be removed from the curb by 7 o’clock on Sunday night.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
