A cannabis store in Thunder Bay is getting one step closer to becoming a reality.
The CEO of the business that has won the Alcohol Gaming Commission’s licence, Mike Rodenburgh, tells us he is partnering with Rick Bohonis, who grew up in Thunder Bay.
They tell our radio station there are still some final details that need to be wrapped up before they can announce when their store will open and its location.
A source tells our newsroom the proposed location for the cannabis store on Red River Road was deemed too small and will be relocated to a location in the Intercity area.
Last week a cannabis store with locations in Manitoba and Toronto, Tokyo Smoke, took out a job ad online for a store manager position in Thunder Bay.
