Thunder Bay: Charges laid following robbery investigation

A suspect who robbed a business on Beverly Street is facing charges.

Officers were sent to the area on Thursday around 7:00 a.m. after receiving a report of a robbery.

A woman had entered the business holding a knife towards employees and stole merchandise.

The suspect ran before police arrived.

Further police investigation led to a suspect being identified, and they were located and arrested on Friday.

As a result, a 29-year-old has been charged with robbery with a weapon and breach of probation.

The accused has appeared in court, and they remain in custody with a future court date.
