Thunder Bay Cited In Water Report

Thunder Bay is on a list of cities in nationwide testing that finds unacceptable levels of lead in drinking water due to aging infrastructure and pipes.

However, the city points out on its website it’s having success in attacking the problem by adding sodium hydroxide to the water.

It’s part of Thunder Bay’s Corrosion Control plan, which states sodium hydroxide is a safe and acceptable chemical for treating water.

The chemical is added at the Bare Point Water Treatment Plant.

In some cities, this problem is considered worse than what happened in Flint, Michigan, where many people were affected by affected water.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
