The Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre is set to be a stop on the North American tour of Science North’s travelling exhibit on exreme sports, as well as the permanent home to a new tinker, hack, innovate, network and know hub.
Greg Rickford, the Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mines made the announcement earlier today and tells us that he’s excited for crown agency’s growth in the region.
“Science North is a terrific asset for northern Ontario, but it’s historically been confined to Sudbury,” says Rickford.
Fort Frances, North Bay, Sault Ste Marie, Thunder Bay and Timmins are also set to have THINK hubs installed in the near future.
