Tensions Increase In Bombardier Strike

More trouble on the Bombardier picket line.
This time the striking workers are upset that the company wanted to move a finished car out of the Neebing Avenue side of the plant.
Union spokesperson Dominic Pasqualino says that’s a violation of the protocol agreement and two steps back in the negotiating process.
He says it’s especially irritating since both sides met on Wednesday to try to find a way to get back to the bargaining table.
Pasqualino says Unifor is also upset Bombardier didn’t wait for the judge’s ruling on the company’s injunction request.
Company spokesperson Stephanie Ash says the union is pretending to play “a game of surprise” when they were told earlier this week that the car would likely be moved today.
She says the company is totally within its right to move that car how it chooses. (File Photo)
