A nearly 20-year-old weather record has been surpassed in Thunder Bay.
When the temperature in the city hit 21 degrees this afternoon it broke the old record of 19.2 degrees sent in 2001.
It comes as many places in the country are experiencing much higher than normal temperatures for this time of year.
Thunder Bay’s average high for this date is around four or five degrees.

Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
