A long-time insurance brokerage in northwestern Ontario is now part of a British Columbia group.
Gillons Insurance has been acquired by B.C.-based Westland Insurance Group.
Westland calls it “significant and substantial” as it branches out to become a national insurance broker.
Gillons is its first Ontario acquisition.
Gillons was founded in 1924 in Fort Frances and has offices in 11 communities around northwestern Ontario including the Thunder Bay location at Red River Road and St. Paul Street.
