The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is confirming the 40th death from COVID-19.
One new death is being reported in today’s update.
The Health Unit says active cases continue to decrease with nine new infections and 45 considered resolved.
That puts the district at 325 active cases.
Out of the new cases:
- Three are considered to be from household contact
- Two people were infected through other close contact
- One is connected to the Walford Retirement Home Outbreak
- Three are still being confirmed
Provincially, Ontario saw 1,699 new cases today.
