There’s been a discovery of what are suspected to be human remains in the Neebing area.
OPP Constable Diana Cole reports they were found by some anglers on the shore of Victoria Island on Lake Superior Sunday afternoon.
She explains the investigation is continuing with help from the OPP North West Region Crime Unit.
The Office of the Chief Coroner has been contacted and a forensic anthropologist has been to the scene to examine the remains.
The OPP constable tells us they have no idea how long the skeletal remains were on the island or whether they are male or female.
