An alleged hit and run driver involved in a south end collision has been arrested.
Thunder Bay police say at around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon they were told of a suspected impaired driver on the wrong side of the road on Brock Street east. The vehicle was found with the driver slumped over the wheel, in gear, but the driver’s foot on the brake. Police say they eventually got into the vehicle, woke her up, and took her to the hospital due to level of suspected impairment.
Police add the 34-year-old Thunder Bay woman is the same driver involved in an earlier collision at the Brown and Frederica Street area.
She was released with a future court date.
