The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is warning about the dangers of ‘sunburn art.’
The fad is making its rounds on social media, and sees people strategically apply sunscreen to their bodies to create a do-it-yourself sunburn tattoo.
Public health nurse Lyne Soramaki says they’re hoping it isn’t a local trend.
She adds it’s a concern, as the number of melanoma cases across the country is on a steady rise.
