The province’s Special Investigations Unit is confirming to our newsroom it is looking into the deaths of two people in the Thunder Bay District.
It says on February 28th, police were called to a house for a man’s well-being, where a man was taken into custody, and then to the hospital. The SIU adds the next day he became seriously ill, and passed away on March 8th. An autopsy has been done in Toronto.
The death of a man during an incident in Municipality of Shuniah also remains under investigation.
The SIU adds on March 12th, they were called to a home on Copenhagen Road, to reports of a man in distress. Police add they soon found a man dead outside a house.
