The province’s civilian police watchdog is absolving a Thunder Bay Police officer from a December 2017 incident.
Last year, officers arrested a 41-year-old man for public intoxication.
The man was sitting in a wheelchair and when he stood up, he fell forward and struck his head.
The Director of the Special Investigations Unit has determined there are no reasonable grounds to lay criminal charges against the police officer in relation to this incident.
