Severe Injuries In Marathon Crash

One person was severely hurt in a three-vehicle crash in the town of Marathon.

Provincial Police say that around nine o’clock Tuesday morning, they were called to the area of Peninsula Road at the Peninsula Golf Course entrance where an SUV collided with a dump truck.

They say the SUV was in the oncoming lane while the dump truck was turning.

Firefighters had to rescue the driver of the SUV from their vehicle, and handed them over to EMS to be taken to the hospital.

The driver of another nearby SUV suffered minor injuries, and the driver and passenger of the dump truck weren’t hurt.

OPP are still investigating the crash.
