We will see the initial results of the city’s program and services review at tonight’s City Council meeting.
Councillors will officially receive a report on the first stage of the $256,000 review.
After that, they still have to approve the second stage of the review to find savings in the city’s programs and services. That discussion is set to take place at next Monday’s meeting.
In March of this year, City Council approved the review, and in June they approved the budget for it. The first stage of the review was expected to be complete in mid-November.
The document is being put together by Grant Thornton LLP. The consulting firm was set to get feedback from city employees, elected officials, and city residents.
