A tragedy for the Township of Schreiber as the Chief of the Schreiber Fire Department has passed away.
The Township has confirmed that Chief Patrick Bourguignon died after a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian in Southern Ontario.
A statement from the Township says he was struck during a power outage in Toronto attending the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs’ annual conference.
The Fire Department is tweeting that it happened Friday night.
He served as a volunteer firefighter for 34 years and had been the Chief of Schreiber Fire Department since 2009. (File Photo)
