Thunder Bay Police warn you to watch out for offers that seem too good to be true.
Officers say they’ve learned about a variety of scams, including a recent fraud scheme on Kijiji.
A would-be buyer approached the seller, offered a cheque for more than their asking price, and requested the extra money be provided to a mover.
The seller got suspicious and went to police, who confirmed the cheque was fraudulent and the mover was likely part of the scam.
