Like sands through the hourglass, our time with Hope is running out on Days of Our Lives!
Actress Kristian Alfonso has announced that she’s leaving the soap opera after almost 40 years.

It’s no secret that I’m a major Days fan, and although I’m way behind on the show, it’s always comforting to know when I tune in, I’ll see all the familiar faces.
Kristian made her debut as Hope Williams on April 14th, 1983 and has had an incredible run on Days, logging 2,596 episodes so far. Along with Peter Reckell’s Bo Brady, she was one-half of one of soap’s most legendary Supercouples. Fancy Face had her fair share of adventures over the years, you can check out a timeline below for a stroll down memory lane.

So we’ll say farewell to Hope in the near future, but is it necessarily goodbye for good? I’d say, hopefully not. It is a soap opera, after all, and if Stefano DiMera (who Hope knocked off, by the way!) has taught us anything, a phoenix can always rise from the ashes!
Bonus Fun Fact: Kristian won a gold medal in the Junior Olympics for figure skating.
