There’s a new fundraiser being launched during the COVID-19 pandemic and it aims to help support musicians and the charity Roots to Harvest.
Rootstock 2020 is taking place Thursday night on Facebook.
The event is a partnership between Algoma House and Roots to Harvest.
Rootstock will be an evening of music, performed online by some of Thunder Bay’s finest, and the funds raised will go to support the local musicians themselves, who haven’t been able to get out and do their thing due to COVID-19.
Roots to Harvest spokesperson Erin Beagle says ticket sales go directly to the musicians but if people want to donate during the event to their organization they will happily accept the financial help.
