Crosswalks Painted Rainbow & Transgender Colours

There are now rainbow and transgender crosswalk intersections in the city

The crossings were painted last week at Bay and Algoma.

The Donald and May Street intersection is expected to get painted in about three weeks.

The City of Thunder Bay says the rainbow crosswalks have been made possible with funding and in-kind support from Thunder Pride and North-West Lines Ltd.

The total cost is $28,000.

Thunder Pride is planning a rainbow crosswalk dedication ceremony with details to be announced.
