Drivers going by Balmoral Street and the Harbour Expressway cannot fully use the brand new double turning lanes.
Pylons are blocking you from using the inside lanes at each of the four directions.
City of Thunder Bay officials say that is because they are waiting to post double turning lane signs.
Project Engineer Mike Vogrig tells us “We can’t technically run double turn lanes without the proper signage and markings so we’ve had to block off a lane until the back ordered poles arrive.”
The contractor hopes to have the signs posted before the month is over.
The busy intersection was under construction all summer and was fully opened to traffic recently with all the double turning lanes in operation until the faux pas was discovered.
