Province Deals With A Spike In COVID Cases

The Ford government says it is taking action to deal with a spike in COVI-19 cases.

It comes after 313 new cases were reported Monday, which Health Minister Christine Elliott suggests is a disturbing trend.

“We have seen an increase in cases, obviously, over the last short while… so whether this is the start of the second wave or not this certainly has our attention and we are dealing with it,” notes Elliott.

The Health Minister adds the government is going to come out with a plan shortly to deal with the increase in cases.

Meantime, Premier Doug Ford is pleading with people not to hold social gatherings since provincial health officials say this is one of the main reasons for the increase.
