A group looking to build a transportation museum on the waterfront wants to get Council aboard.
The Lakehead Transportation Museum will restore and house historical vehicles, including the brill buses, the Whalen Tug Boat, Marina Park’s Caboose, and a Via Rail train.
Coordinator Charlie Brown says the museum committee will be able to secure its own funding, and cover all operational costs- simply they want the city’s support to move forward.
A report with more information on the relationship is expected back to Council in January.
