Thunder Bay Police and OPP removed suspected explosives from a south-side home this afternoon.
They learned just after five o’clock that the potential explosives had been discovered at the home on Catherine Street at Piper Avenue.
Police contained the area while the items were removed without incident, and asked nearby residents to stay inside for their own safety.
Police may remain in the area as they investigate, but say residents are no longer required to stay inside due to this incident.
