You may soon be on camera if you interact with Thunder Bay police.
The force tells us effective Monday, some officers will be wearing body worn cameras, recording both audio and video.
The cameras will eventually be worn by all front-line primary response officers, assigned to the Traffic Unit, by June.
Police add installation will also happen to all vehicles.
Thunder Bay Police Service points out this is the Digital Evidence Management project, designed to enhance public safety and strengthen accountability. The system is also more than just cameras, it’s meant to create a more efficient and effective flow of evidence.
