The 55th death of the coronavirus pandemic is confirmed by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.
Officials are also reporting Friday that there are twelve new cases of COVID-19, with another fourteen individuals confirmed to be resolved.
The numbers drop the active case count to 101:
- Seven cases with no known exposure
- Two case causes are pending
- Two cases obtained through someone outside of the household
- One positive diagnosis through travel outside of Northwestern Ontario
