SIN Scam Making The Rounds

You may have noticed lately some fishy calls to your cell phone with people asking for part of your social insurance number.

Police are out with a warning that those callers are fraudsters and the call is part of a scam.

Lots of complaints have come in this week to police saying they’ve received calls from tricksters suggesting their SIN is connected to a crime and if they can’t provide the number to them, they’ll be arrested by police.

Police say you should never give your SIN number out to anyone.
