Police Services Board To Meet

Board Chair Kristen Oliver provides a sneak peak as to what’s on the agenda for next Tuesday’s Police Services Board meeting.

The board will swear in new member Roydon Pelletier which will bring the board back to a full compliment around the table.

“I’m thrilled to finally have a full compliment on the board since we started in December of 2018,” Oliver says. “Mr. Pelletier was actually appointed through the provincial government. We were waiting for them to complete that work so they have and we’re ready to move forward.”

The Board Chair and Westfort Councillor says the year end financial numbers for 2020 will also be examined and should be available for public viewing early next week.

Oliver is also looking forward to a presentation from Crime Prevention Co-ordinator Lee-Ann Chevrette, who will discuss the six priority challenges that have been identified in the ongoing work on preventing crime.
