Police Provide Details In Year Old Murder Case

Thunder Bay Police are shedding some more light on the murder of a 31-year-old woman who was found lying on the ground last year on Simpson Street.

Detective Sgt. Tracy Lewis tells us they’ve been in contact with the Amelia Corrie Sainnawap’s family over the year since her death.

Over the last year, police say they’ve collected evidence and identified a suspect.

43-year-old Neil Howard Neshinapaise was arrested yesterday afternoon and has a future court date on October 8th.

Lewis says the victim and the accused were recent associates at the time of her death.

There is a publication ban in place in the court matter covering many of the details.
