City police have idenfitied Geoffrey Francis as the man whose body was pulled from the Kam River on September 1st.
They say the 42-year-old city resident had ties to both Thunder Bay and Kenora.
Police have notified his family about his death.
Investigators want to hear from anyone with information about his activities before his death, or about people he may have associated with.
