Pedestrian Alerts Residents Of Fire

Fortunately no injuries to report following a fire in the south end on Connolly Street, thanks in large part to an alert pedestrian.

Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue tells us early this morning, at around 1 o’clock, they were called to the area just east of the Pacific Avenue bridge, to find the fire coming from a storage unit at the rear of the house.

They quickly brought it under control, and haven’t yet determined the cause.

Two people inside made it out with no problem, thanks to the individual walking by.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
