Parade Of Lights Back In 2021

An announcement organizers call disappointing.

The 2020 Parade Of Lights, scheduled for Saturday December 5th, is a no-go due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“Our disappointment extends from not only being able to provide a wonderful evening of entertainment for the citizens of the Greater Thunder Bay area, but also for not being able to raise much needed funds for the four worthwhile charities that deliver vital services to special needs children and young adults,” says organizer Greg Stephenson. “It’s our hope and wish that we’ll be back Saturday December 4th 2021 with a bigger, more exciting parade for the residents of Thunder Bay and surrounding area to welcome the Christmas season.”

The parade raises fund for:

  • Special Olympics Ontario, Thunder Bay
  • Thunder Bay Therapeutic Riding Association
  • Autism Ontario, Thunder Bay and District
  • George Jeffrey Children’s Centre

There are other ways to help, including some apparel (logo pictured below) and will be available soon.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
