The OPP detachment in Armstrong is now a satellite detachment of the Thunder Bay office. Officials say it stopped being a stand alone facility as of the first of this month.
It was the result of a recent review which was done to identify what the OPP say are opportunities and efficiencies.
They say staffing levels in Armstrong along with frontline policing services or the hours of operation will not change.
