The OPP are hoping to see success with its new online reporting system.
They’re trying to direct more people to report such things as minor thefts or acts of mischief via the Internet.
Constable Guy Beaudry says Citizen’s Self-Reporting eliminates the need for people to attend the detachment and wait to speak with an officer.
He adds it also frees up officers’ time to handle more serious incidents.
