Police Suspect Shooting Linked To Drugs

An appeal has been issued from Thunder Bay police for anyone with video surveillance following a shooting in the south end.

They say they were called to the corner of Dease and Mckenzie Streets last night around 9:30, to find a man had been shot.

He was taken to hospital and is in stable condition.

Police add they’re looking for witnesses who may have been in the Mckenzie Street area, from Cumming Street to Pacific Avenue, between 9 and 10 pm, who may have dash camera footage. They’re also looking for residents who may have video.

Police say they don’t believe this shooting is random, with suspicion it’s linked to the drug trade.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
