Chippewa Road is going to go down to one lane of traffic starting today.
The city says crews will be putting in street lights and a section of Chippewa Road, between James Street and Mountain Road, will be off-limits.
Work is expected to end on Thursday.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
