With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas McMinn McMillan of Atikokan, Ontario peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

A devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, Thomas touched the lives of many with his kindness, strength, and unwavering love for family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Thomas was born in Dailly Ayrshire, Scotland and carried his Scottish roots with pride throughout his life. He built a life rich in family, friendship and community, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and cherished memories.

Thomas is lovingly remembered by his wife Dolly; all of their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, and many dear nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by loved ones who welcomed him home.

Family and friends are invited to gather in Celebration of Thomas’ Life at a service to be held in Atikokan at Riverview United Church (169 Pine Crescent) on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 1:00pm (CDT), officiated by Rev. Susan Girard. Interment will follow in Little Falls Cemetery.

Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Thomas to Riverview United Church would be greatly appreciated.

Though he is no longer with us in person, Thomas’ love, wisdom, and gentle spirit will remain with those who knew him forever.

Those we love do not go away;

They walk beside us every day;

Unseen and unheard, and always in our hearts.
