Ronald Norman Woroniuk

May 12, 1948 – November 20, 2025

Mr. Ronald Norman Woroniuk, age 77 years, passed away peacefully at Hogarth Riverview Manor on Thursday November 20, 2025.

Born on May 12, 1948, he was raised in Thunder Bay and attended Gron Morgan Highschool until he left to start his lifelong career in the trucking industry. Starting as an independent contractor, he bought his first truck at 18, before joining the team at Bucannen for over 30 years.

When not working, he could be found spending time with family and friends. Always social, he could have a great conversation with anyone, whether he’d known them for years or just met them. Ron enjoyed chatting over a coffee or snack, sometimes for hours, with his coworkers, friends, and family. He was always ready to lend a hand with good humour, reliably being the one to find an entertaining story in any situation.

He was well known around town as he regularly enjoyed his hobby of scrap metal recycling, and he took pride in including his children in the venture. He also loved good cigars and country music.

He married his wife Orysia in 1977, and they started their family in 1979.

Ronald is survived by his children Melissa Lipovsek (Bojan), Charlene, Ronnie and Charlie Woroniuk and his beloved grandchildren Olivia, Jay and Emma Lipovsek and Kinsley Woroniuk. He is predeceased by his parents George and Julia Woroniuk and his brother Wilmer Woroniuk.

A celebration of life is planned for the spring of 2026, and interment at Riverside Cemetery.
