Mrs. Pina Curciarello (Stalteri), age 81 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side. Pina was born in Siderno in the Calabria region of Italy on August 25th, 1944. At the age of 23, Pina made her journey to Canada to be with her loving husband of 51 years, Domenico Curciarello.

Pina’s entire life revolved around family, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to ensuring that those around her were loved and cared for. She was strong beyond words and was there for every milestone in her family’s lives. The void she leaves by her passing isn’t even remotely possible to fill. Pina was also a dedicated friend to those lucky enough to call her that and a long-time congregant of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, a place she visited weekly for strength and solace.

Pina will be lovingly missed and forever remembered by her beloved sons, Antonio Curciarello and Giuseppe Curciarello; her son-in-law, John Kolic; and her most precious grandchildren, Luka and Gabriella Kolic.

Pina is predeceased by her devoted husband, Domenico Curciarello, and her treasured daughter, Rosetta Curciarello-Kolic.

Funeral Services for the late Pina Curciarello will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church. Family and friends are invited to gather for the Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m., celebrated by Fr. Luigi Filippini. Visitation will take place prior to the Mass from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church, located at 123 Hilldale Road. A reception will follow at Sargent and Sons Funeral Home, 21 North Court Street.
