Mary Ann Gregorchuk, 94, of Nipigon, passed away on February 17th, 2026. Mary was born on January 23rd, 1932 to Francis and Antony Horishney on a farm near Ladywood, Manitoba. In 1949, Mary and George were married and started their family of four boys: Daniel, Michael, Steven, and William (Billy).

Mary loved participating in just about every event in Red Rock and Nipigon. This included the Fishing Festival, weekly bingo, and she was even the oldest person who walked in the Hike for Health. And, although she was most proud of being the Blueberry Queen at the Blueberry Blast, attending the Senior supper was another favourite because she loved to dance. She was also a member of the Horticultural Society and the Red Rock Golden Club for many years.

Mary was predeceased by her parents Francis and Antony, her brothers Casimir and William, and her half siblings Paul, Helen and Rose. She is also predeceased by her husband, George, and her sons, Michael and Daniel.

Mary is survived and deeply missed by her sons Steve and Billy, her granddaughter Terry (Mike), step granddaughter Colleen (Shane), and her great grandchildren Emma, Ethan, Jordyn, Charlotte and Max.

Mary will be interred in Cliffside Cemetery at a private service in the spring.
