MARGARET LAMB ELLIOTT

Mrs. Margaret Elliott (nee Paton) in her 90th year, resident of Thunder Bay, Ontario (formerly St. Catherines, Grimsby and Hamiton Ontario), passed away Friday March 13, 2026 with granddaughter Lisa at her side. She was surrounded by family in the days leading up to her passing. Born in Springburn Glasgow, Scotland arriving with her family in Canada in 1952 at the young age of 16.


Margaret and Carl were married at Melrose United Church in Hamilton. Margaret worked off and on during her married life, her main love was looking after her family. After the death of her husband Carl in 2012, Margaret moved to Thunder Bay in 2014 to be near family.


Margaret is survived by daughters Diane Madden (Bill), Sandra Dewsberry (Fred), grandchildren Bryan Madden (Diana), Jennifer Madden (Taniesha), Adrienne Dewsberry, Lisa Brydon (Adrian), great grandchildren William, Alexandra, Kaliyah, Matthias, and Declan. Also surviving is her younger sister Ann Gallant.


Margaret is predeceased by her parents James and Peggy Paton; in-laws Gerald Elliott (Edna), Shirley McMullen (Bill), and John Gallant.


Special appreciation for the care of our mother as she became a part of the family on Spruce Grove at Hogarth Riverview Manor and to Rev. Joyce (Ken) Yanishewski.


Cremation has taken place. Interment at Mountain View Cemetery, Thunder Bay.
