The family of the late Helen Bemrose is saddened to announce her passing at Pioneer Ridge, with her special niece and goddaughter, Susan Richards, and Susan’s husband, Richard, by her side. Her mind remained sharp, and with their loving care, Helen was able to live independently until the age of 95. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Tom; her parents, Stephen Kalik and Mary Shelleski; and her stepfather, Mike Shelleski. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Jacob, Mike, John, and Steve; her sisters, Anne, Marge, and Stella; as well as their spouses. Helen is survived by her caring nieces, Bev Swazey and Jo-Ann Richards, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She especially enjoyed visits from her great-nephew Mike, Cindy, and great-great-nephew Colton Richards, who always brought a smile to her face. The family would like to thank the staff of Plaza 4 at Pioneer Ridge for the excellent and compassionate care they provided to our aunt over the past three years. As per Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family interment will follow at a later date.
