Hazel Delores Sinoway who was 77 years old, of Thunder Bay, Ontario has sadly passed October 28, 2026, peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.

Hazel was born on October 3, 1949, in Armstrong, Ontario to Simon and Marie Sinoway (Kwissisens). Hazel lived her life full of warmth, laughter, dedication, and grace. She grew up in Armstrong, Ontario, and later resided in Winnipeg, Manitoba before returning to Thunder Bay, Ontario where she lived for the remainder of her life.

Hazel found her greatest joys of spending time with family, music, enjoyed sing-alongs, loved to travel, and thrifting. She was always welcoming with a quick-witted sense of humor, loved laughing with her gentle spirit.

She is survived by and will be missed dearly by her daughter Candida (Rob), her siblings Mary (Doni), Marilyn, Harry, Paul (Jocelyn), Robert (Hilda), and Frankie T (Brenda). She will be missed by her nieces and nephews Roxanne, Robin, Tracy, Jacques, Michael, Frankie Jr, Sherman, Norman, Gene-Boy, Matthew, and Emile.

Loving grandmother to her wonderful grandchildren Simon, Andy, Stephanie, Nadine, Kyle, Shanelle, Kayla, Yolanda, Autumn, Maria, Leanne, Rory, and Bryce.

She was an exceptional great-grandmother, and great-aunt to Kevin, and Chenoa and family. Hazel will be missed by her many friends and family across Canada.

Hazel is reunited with her parents Simon and Marie Sinoway, Her dear daughter Dehlia, amazing siblings Theresa, Linda, Francis, and Duncan. Loving nephews and niece Arnie, Aaron, Kevin.M, Darren, Sheldon, and Claudette.

Service for Hazel will be held on November 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at Sargent and Son Funeral Chapel (21 Court Street North). She will be laid to rest at a later date at Hillside Cemetery in Armstrong, Ontario.
