Heaven gained the sweetest angel of them all when Clara Morettin (Leonzio) 1940-2026 passed away peacefully in her home. She was the last remaining child born to the late Antonio and Louisa Leonzio.

Clara was predeceased by her Husband Ron Morettin 1938-1994 and her brothers and sisters. She will be dearly missed by her 4 children: Roland Morettin (Sherry), Michelle Morettin, Carla Morettin (Derek), and Dennis Morettin (Donnalee). Four grandchildren: Meagan McILwain (Dan), Eric Morettin, Isabella Morettin, and Angelina Morettin (Meryk) and two great grandchildren, Jack and Ella McILwain. She is also survived by one sister-in-law Elsie Leonzio from Dryden and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Thank you to the following for their kindness and support: Dr. Anna-Maria Laakso, Wesway, Care Partners, Bay Shore Nursing, and Ontario Health at Home for organizing all of Mom’s health care needs so she could remain at home during her illness.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Westfort Everest Funeral Chapel, 420 West Gore Street, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Clara’s name to The Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay, Wesway, George Jeffrey Children’s Centre, or The Underground Gym.
