O-P Forest Fire Slowly Shrinking

A constant barrage from waterbombers is slowly pushing a forest fire in Oliver-Paipoonge back.

Ministry of Natural Resources tells us along with other fire crews helping, it’s now at 97 hectares, down from the original 120 hectares when it started Tuesday.

However, the ministry adds it is not under control yet.

There are three huge fires in the Kenora district not under control either, the largest at 2,600 hectares.
