Nova Scotia Police Stop Halifax Shooting Plot

Three people have been arrested in connection with an alleged plot to carry out a mass public shooting in Halifax, today.

According to the Halifax Regional Police, a tip received Thursday morning suggested a 19-year-old man from Nova Scotia, and a 23-year-old woman from Illinois planned a Valentine’s Day mass killing, before turning the gun on themselves.

The Emergency Response Team says the 19-year-old man was found dead yesterday at a home in Timberlea. The woman and two other men, ages 17 and 20, have since been arrested.
