NOSM Gets Grant For Opioid Program

The Northern Ontario School of Medicine is getting funding to create educational materials for doctors on best practices in prescribing opioids.

$500,000 is going to the Clinical Sciences Division of the school.

The project aims to increase recognition of the social, economic and geographic factors affecting northern patients and develop an appropriate opioid prescription method.
