The Norwestern Ontario Municipal Association is backing off plans to seek intervenor status in the Energy East Pipeline project.
NOMA president Dave Canfield says instead they have agreed to work through Common Voice Northwest to have their concerns addressed.
Canfield says there will be a meeting of Common Voice members this Friday in Thunder Bay to talk about the future of the body, including Energy East.
