No Injuries After A Compactor Fire

No official word as to when the Memorial Avenue Wal-Mart will reopen.

Fire crews were called Friday afternoon to the retail location after a large commercial trash compactor caught fire, causing lots of smoke and forcing everyone to be evacuated.

Platoon Chief Harold Spithoff says three pumpers and an aerial ladder were utilized to put out the flames, which broke out just before 3:00 p.m. ariel laddet

There were no injuries reported.
